For the growing popularity of vegans, here’s some good news — an all-vegan tour with sustainable living experiences is being organised in Himachal Pradesh by Wanderknots. Read more. By Japleen Kaur
Wanderknots is a company led by Divya Pai, who is a vegan herself. Having traveled to Himachal Pradesh for over a decade now, she has learnt everything about the state firsthand. In an attempt to promote veganism and sustainable living, she is soon starting trips from Delhi to Manali.
In India, one thing that is difficult for vegans is the lack of resources available while travelling. And, this is a myth that these trips will bust.
Along with that, the eight-day trips will also have a day of working at the apple farms with the locals, volunteering in one of the schools at a small village called Burwa, and teaching about 80 children, participating in a cleanliness drive at the Rohtang Pass, discussions on cutting down on plastic usage and more.
The company has also partnered with Let’s Play, which is India’s first e-cycle brand to give a cycle to everyone on the trip while roaming around in Manali.
If giving back to the society while having fun is something that entices you then you need to enroll yourself on one of these trips.
