5 Yummy Christmas Recipes That Hide The Trick In Just 3 Ingredients

Who even wants to spend the Christmas party worrying about the chicken in the pan and the muffins in the oven? But then, who doesn’t want delicious Christmas treats for the party? These 3-ingredient Christmas recipes will save you from the long hours in the kitchen so that you can enjoy both the party and the finger-licking good food. By Shubhanjana Das

1. The 3-ingredient Christmas Cake:

Before you jump to the conclusion that this 3-ingredient cake won’t be as great as the other, more elaborate cake recipes, wait till you hear us out. A kilo of dried fruit, 600 ml of milk, and 2 ¾ cups of self-raising flour can create magic in the oven in ways you can’t imagine. The sherry, rum, or whiskey is optional but hey, we don’t mind a boozy cake, do we? Set this baby in the oven for 1 hour 15 minutes and watch it disappear from the table in a matter of a few seconds.

2. Rudolph Noses:

There are pretzels and candies in it. Need we say more? Nothing on your table can be more Christmas-y than these delicious treats which look as enticing as they taste. One more ingredient that you’ll need is Hugs and Kisses chocolates. After placing the pretzels on the parchment paper, lay the hugs and/or kisses on the pretzel and let it bake at 180 degrees Celsius for 3-4 minutes before pressing an M&M candy on top. Save some for yourself before the kids steal it all!

3. Christmas Swirl Fudge:

Get ready for the compliments to flood in for these beauts are going to place that Masterchef hat on your head in an exchange of zero effort! Who knew that 2 cups of vanilla baking chips, creamy vanilla frosting, and red and green food colours could bring this much joy to the palette and visual appeal to the dinner table! Tint one bowl of creamy vanilla frosting and microwaved vanilla chips with red and the other with green, add dollops of these in a greased square oven pan covered with foil and swirl away for an abstract pattern. After an hour’s refrigeration, cut it in cubes and voila! Your red and green, super-easy swirl fudge is ready!

4. Roast Potatoes:

Seriously, if this ain’t the easiest potato recipe, we don’t know what is! Happiness comes with carbs and potatoes come with oodles of them, and that’s why you should never miss out on loading the dinner table with some good ol’ roasted potatoes. After all, olive oil, butter, and good quality potatoes are all you’ll need! Brush the potatoes with the olive oil and melted butter and shove it into the oven for 50 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius. You can add your favourite herb if you like for the fragrance to make your guests just a little hungrier.

5. Sweet Pork Ribs:

You’ve gotta put some protein on the table and what better than the classic pork ribs! You can even try this one with pork chops and it’ll be just as delectable. Mix 350ml of chilli sauce and just a cup of grape jelly and smother the pork ribs/chops in the crockpot before you leave them in there for a good 5-6 hours. The pork will fall apart from the bones and it’ll befriend those roasted potatoes in no time!
