The way we dine out has changed drastically over these past two years. Along with scrumptious meals and a convivial ambience, we’re now on the look out for COVID-friendly restaurants. With varying restrictions and protocols, a call to a restaurant a few hours ahead of dinner has almost become routine. With all these changes, an already charming dining experience is now elevated as perhaps the most preferred – alfresco dining is the way to go. Pune winters make meals under the open skies all the more idyllic.

Malaka Spice is a Southeast Asian inspired restaurant nestled in the by-lanes Koregaon Park and was established in the year 1997. The menu is inspired by the founding couple’s – Praful and Cheeru Chandawarkar – extensive travel through Southeast Asia. Recipes carry influences from Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, Japan and Cambodia. The restaurant also embodies a Farm To Table philosophy. The flagship restaurant in Pune has a relatively large outdoor space marked by a Badam Tree.
