Food For Faith

Pune-based ACE Kitchens, in partnership with Viniyard Films, has kickstarted a food donation drive with a multi-pronged approach. Named Food for Faith, with this the collective is not only be providing meals to those in need, but is also helping various small delivery kitchens and restaurants in Pune. Moreover, people who lost their job are employed as volunteers to help distribute the meal packets, and are paid INR 300 daily for their services.

Food For Faith

Set up to provide healthy no-fuss meals with utmost adherence to hygiene, Food for Faith is currently serving close to 600 meals a day; hoping to bring this number up to 3,000 daily meals in the next two months. For this, various partners have also been on-boarded to help streamline the process. Take digital partner Howl India, for instance. This team of marketers helps spread the word about the donation drive in Pune, in turn widening the noble cause’s reach and accelerating efforts. NGO partner, Shree Anantadrushti Charitable Trust; food partner, HHI Hotel Pune; and community partner, Pune Eat Outs are also supporting the cause.

Food For Faith

To accelerate transparency, Food for Faith has given a breakdown of the costs incurred to undertake this philanthropic initiative. According to an issued statement, each meal packet distributed is priced at INR 50. However, the donations collected are also distributed for logistical needs such as water bottles, PPE kits, sanitisers, food packaging materials, gloves, transportation, and volunteer costs.
