The spacious interiors, divided into a raised dining area, private dining area and balcony, and VIP Lounge, is the biggest USP of the place. While you’re waiting for your order, do not forget to look up! Intricately designed replicas of coins of different sizes and shapes from various countries adorn the ceiling and add to the classic charm of the place. What to eat?
The restaurant serves world cuisine—from Northern Frontiers to Coastal Indian to South East Asian to Southern & Eastern Mediterranean. Begin with Thai Fish Tikki to prepare your taste buds for the feast ahead; the makhani cheese balls too are a sumptuous bunch of appetizers for the vegetarians. If you’re celebrating a special occasion, order the Rann-e-Awadh, young goat leg, for a memorable feast. The Meze Platter is worth a try for its distinguished offerings—shish taouk, Turkish pulled lamb fatayer with cacik and harissa moutabel dips. However, if you are looking for more fulfilling dishes, go for the more traditional Chettinad Mutton Champ and Dum Gosht Biryani. The Japanese quail Korma and Dajaj Mashwi, Lebanese spiced roasted whole chicken on skin served with kabsa rice pilaf will stay in your memory for a long time for its interesting presentation.
What to drink?
The place has an extensive bar menu with offerings ranging from in-house brews Hefewizen, Belgian Dubbel, Saison, and Blonde Ale to every imaginable brand of champagne, wine, single malt whiskey. However, the signature cocktails are the real stars at TAMA. Try the apple wood smoked whiskey-based cocktail, Dark Fantasy for a rich blend of cinnamon liquer, black cherry and saffron ice.
