Travel + Leisure India & South Asia joined hands with JW Marriott Hotel Bengaluru to host an exclusive Masterclass at the hotel’s restaurant ALBA where guests sampled flavours of Europe. Here’s all that happened at this exclusive culinary event.
After a two-year-long hiatus, Travel + Leisure India & South Asia organised its signature T+L Masterclass in collaboration with JW Marriott Hotel Bengaluru at the hotel’s Italian restaurant ALBA on September 8, 2022. ALBA serves Mediterranean cuisine and draws inspiration from the flavours of Italy, Spain, and Greece.
Bracing torrential rains, many gourmands came together for an evening replete with flavours of Europe. Chef Mahesh Kini, executive chef of the hotel, took guests through the makings of a classic burrata, mushroom cuppacino, paella, fresh stuffed pasta, eggplant parmigiana, and a classic tiramisu.

Speaking about the evening, Gaurav Sinha, hotel manager of JW Marriott Hotel Bengaluru said, “When it comes to culinary skills, ALBA has a great bunch of new faces and talents. We’ve got a new way of carrying the legacy forward.” Aindrila Mitra, editor-in-chief of Travel + Leisure India & South Asia, agreed, “Thanks to ALBA, we got access to food and flavours from Italy and Spain.”
