American Airlines To Fly Non-Stop Daily Between Bengaluru And The USA

In a welcoming news for corporate fliers, American Airlines has announced non-stop daily flights between Bengaluru and Seattle. The flight will begin operations from October 2020. Here’s everything you need to know about it. By Kumar Shree

Those planning to fly to the USA later this year, take note! You can now fly non-stop from the Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru, India to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, United States on American Airlines, which has announced its daily non-stop flight on the route. It will operate a 285-seater Boeing 787-9 between the destinations.

Earlier the flights between India to many destinations in the USA had multiple stopovers. This flight, on the other hand, will not only fly non-stop, but also offer much better and faster access to multiple regions. These areas include Arizona, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Silicon Valley, West Coast, and many other mid-eastern states of the country.

“The American Airlines flight between Bengaluru and Seattle will help further establish BLR (Bengaluru) Airport as the gateway to a new India. This will create tremendous benefit for passengers travelling between the two countries. We will continue to explore attractive routes that connect Bengaluru to some of the most important destinations in India and abroad,” said Hari Marar, MD & CEO, Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL).

Apart from this, the Bengaluru Airport has also launched many other international routes recently. While routes to Amsterdam and Addis Ababa are already operational, the routes to Tokyo and Munich will begin operations soon. With the addition of these two new routes, Bengaluru will connect to 28 international destinations. American Airlines, on the other hand, is also expanding its codeshare arrangement to include Alaska Airlines within it.
