The lively city of Kashi has yet another wonderful feat added to its extraordinary list that will lure travellers from all over the world to its holy ghats. The Virtual Experiential Museum (VEM) that has been built at Man Mahal to provide cultural and spiritual tours of the enchanting city will soon open its doors to the public.
This virtual museum is a web repository of 60 ancient temples and sculptures that were found in the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor area in 2018 after a demolition activity was conducted there. The virtual tour will showcase the architectural and historical intricacies of these structures. You can also expect to come across information like the age of the structures, which ruler built them, and the style of architecture. These ancient marvels will also be subjected to a restoration gig in order to preserve them for future generations.

The VEM is an initiative by the Kashi Vishwanath Temple administration. The department of History of Arts, Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and the National Museum of Archives will help in setting this up.
