In an attempt to boost tourism, the Uttar Pradesh government is reportedly trying to materialise new projects, one of them being an international airport in Ayodhya named after Lord Ram, likely to be completed by December 2021. The city, which is also the birthplace of the Hindu deity, recently celebrated the foundation stone laying ceremony of the much-awaited Ram temple, for which the construction work is already going on in full swing.
The government, in fact, anticipates a great surge in tourist footfall, both domestic as well as international, once the temple is ready to be opened for the public. It even plans to promote it at a global level and has already started preparing infrastructure to attract more and more devotees from all over the world. Hence, the construction of an international airport comes in handy with the rest of the plan.

The work on the famous Ram Temple began a few months ago after a grand event that saw the presence of many prominent personalities of the country including PM Modi. The temple is being designed based on the Nagara-style architecture. it will be at least 161-feet tall and will be spread across a 10-acre area. Its complex, however, will be spread in 57 acres of land. The whole structure will have three floors and five domes. In fact, in order to keep it unique, only copper metal will be used throughout the construction, which is expected to be completed by 2023.
