British Airways, the United Kingdom’s national carrier is known for offering indulgent flying experiences to travellers. Since most of us are grounded at the moment and are likely to be so in the near future as well, the airline is now offering patrons a unique opportunity of recreating the on-board experience at home. British Airways is selling a range of its cabin items from both the first-class and club-world cabins, which will enable passengers to enjoy the iconic flying experience at home. Everything from crockery to amenity kits and even the drink trolleys are being put on sale by the airline. As for why the airline decided to sell these items, it said — “to bring the magic of flying into your home for Christmas,” (as reported on Simple Flying).

Among the items that are on sale are the historic aircraft trolleys and canisters that belonged to the now-retired Boeing 747, William Edwards’ dining crockery, and even an oven rack. Additionally, interested customers can also pick up champagne flutes, towels, bread baskets, and coasters. To call it a day, patrons can relax in the airline’s blanket and slippers.

“This is an incredible one-off opportunity for people to bring the magic of flying with British Airways into their own homes. We know that these special items will fly and we are delighted to be able to offer them in time for Christmas to give people the opportunity to make it memorable during a difficult year,” said British Airways’ Director of Brand and Customer Experience, Carolina Martinoli (as mentioned on Simple Flying).

The items that are on sale are a combination of both new and second-hand pieces, some of which have made multiple trips around the globe. Those who are interested can purchase the items from Whatabuy. The airline is also encouraging customers to share photos of them with their purchase by tagging @British_Airways and using the hashtag #BAathome.
