Entries can be submitted via a month-long competition ending on December 31, 2020. Individuals or groups from any part of the world can submit their light-based or 3D-mapping designs on their official website. Further specifications on the design formats and dimensions, too, can be found on the same website. To further ascertain the chances of winning, the organisers are encouraging entrants to share their designs on their social media platforms, tagging the Emirati building’s official handles. The winning entries will then be decided on a weekly basis, post which it will be splashed across 1,09,252 square meters of the Burj Khalifa.
Notably, this Light Up show previously beat Hong Kong’s Guinness World Record for the largest light and sound show on a single structure, as per the release.
