  1. Kaudiyala, Uttarakhand

Located along the river Ganges in the foothills of Garhwal ranges of the Himalayas, Kaudiyala is a peaceful hill town for all the nature lovers. Here you can indulge into a number of adventure activities like beach camping, river rafting, trekking, body surfing, cliff jumping, bungee jumping, fox flying, and etc. Dehradun’s Jolly Grant Airport is the nearest airport to Kaudiyala. Moreover, you can also travel via train, the nearest railhead being Haridwar Railway Junction. There are also frequent bus and taxi services available from the Rishikesh depot.  

2. Nameri National Park, Assam

Set in the foothills of Eastern Himalayas, along the banks of the tributary of river Brahmaputra, Nameri National Park is home to many wild beasts. It’s a birdwatcher’s haven with over 300 species of birds, and a breeding ground of the wildlife. At the sanctuary lies the Nameri Eco Camp, near Jia-Bhoroli river amidst dense forest. River rafting, bird watching, tiger spotting, safari and trekking are some of the adventure activities you can enjoy during your stay here. While the nearest airport is Salonibari Airport in Tezpur, Rangapara is the nearest railhead, and Nameri Bus stop for those who want to travel via road. 

3. Neora Valley Jungle Camp, West Bengal

Home to rare and endangered plants, animal and birds, Neora Valley Jungle Camp is situated atop Kolakham village in West Bengal. It offers its guests panoramic view and snow-capped Himalayan Range. Also known as Kolakham Eco Hut, the place is the best escape from the scorching heat. Wild boar, barking deer, sloth bear, and civet, are some of the wildlife species that can be seen here. When here you can also take a tour to nearby Lava, an offbeat destination in Kalimpong district. New Jalpaiguri Junction railway station is the nearest to Kolakham, and the nearest airport is in Bagdogra.  

4. Wayanad, Kerala

This Kerala based hill station is home to the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary, which is a forest area breeding wildlife such as Asiatic elephants, tigers, leopards and egrets. Nestled among the mountains of the Western Ghats, this hill station is filled with history and culture. It’s also surrounded by major tourist spots like Ooty, Mysuru, Bengaluru, Coorg, and Kannur. Both Kozhikode airport, as well as Kozhikode Railway Station are close to Wayanad, and the place is also well connected by road from all over Kerala and neighbouring states.
