The Capital City of Jharkhand, Ranchi 

Talk about a city donning multiple hats and Ranchi would excel at it. It is known as the ‘city of waterfalls’ for housing some of the most picturesque waterfalls in the country. It is also known as the ‘Manchester of the East’ for its abundance of natural mineral resources. Apart from these outstanding factors, Ranchi is also home to Hundru Falls, Dassam Falls, Birsa Zoological Park, Ranchi Lake, Kanke Dam and the Sun Temple.

The Steel City of India, Jamshedpur 

Jamshedpur is the largest city in Jharkhand and is well-known for being home to Tata Steel, India’s first private iron and steel company. Dalma Hills, Jubilee Park, Jubilee Lake, Jayanti Sarovar and Tata Steel Zoological Park are some of the attractions you can explore in this well planned Indian city. 

Despite being home to an industrial setup, Jamshedpur still packs enough greenery to make any green-city feel shy. Apart from Ranchi and Jamshedpur, other cities and towns like Bokaro, Hazaribagh, Deoghar, Giridih, Dhanbad and Netarhat are some of the other major tourist attractions here.

Handicraft: You can find a wide-range of handicrafts ranging from Tussar Silk, Grass weaving, stone carving, wood carving, Dokra metalcraft, Terracotta designing, Bamboo craft and Pyatkar paintings.

Dance: Jharkhand is one of the main centres for Chhau dance. Maghe dance, Nachni, Mundari dance, Barao and Chhangu Nritya are some of the other indigenous dance forms that you can witness here. 

Music: Bansuri, Shehnai, Bheri, Singha, Nagara, Ghanti, Peetta Ghant, Ghungru, Jhanj, Dhaak and Mander are some of the many musical instruments unique to this land. 

Cuisine: For those who travel for food, they will find their taste buds bombarded with excitements never experienced before. Jharkhand is the land of culinary delights and has some of the simplest yet experimental food. Koinar Sag, Grenn Sag, Udad Dal, Kurthi Dal, Litti-Chokha, Sattu Paratha, Pitha, Kudurum Ki Chatni, Rugdha, Chilka Roti, Malpua, Bamboo-shoots, Thelua, Dhuska and Khaja are some of the vegetarian fares. For the non-vegetarians, Jharkhand has options like Mudwa Khussi Meat, Duck Meat, Desi Chicken and Tengara Fee.
