Bollywood all-rounder Gul Panag was recently in Switzerland’s capital city, picture-perfect Bern, to attend the fifth season of Formula E (electrical cars) racing. Panag who is a self-proclaimed automobile enthusiast and an avid supporter of electric mobility, attended the first ever Formula E race that the capital city was hosting.

The streets of Bern were transformed into a racing carnival for the electric car race, at a time when the world grapples with climate change. “It’s electric car racing – the future of mobility. The city of Bern (and Switzerland in general) has a stellar record of managing their air quality. AQI level is 23 and THAT’S what’s normal here,” says Panag.

After the event, Panag headed to the urbane Zurich to soak in some cultural history against the gorgeous backdrop of the snow-capped alps. The diva was seen spending a relaxed day around old Zurich’s Limmet river.

“Lets go right in the heart of the dainty canton of Bern, Switzerland. A picturesque old town, which is an amalgamation of the urban and the antique. Cobblestone streets, historic structures… and watch the city transform itself into a racing carnival as it hosts the Formula E race. Electric cars racing on the streets of this town, a historic ancient city embracing new, clean and green ability. But, it doesn’t end here. On the way back, I got to spend a day in the cosmopolitan city of Zurich with its distinctive old town. What an incredible experience this has been.”
