Delhi is blessed with enchanting history, and people from all over the world land up here to experience it. After all, where else would you find a captivating historical saga sitting hand in hand with its contemporary present. If you don’t mind travelling places and walking distances in search of stories that stay with you forever, we have found something for you.

Robaroo Walks, a Varanasi-based company that operates in Delhi, Lucknow, Amritsar, and Varanasi are offering a two-day curated event in Delhi. If experiencing the best of Delhi’s heritage, music, food, and culture along with an enriching community interaction are on your radar, this walk will surely be a treat for you. Here are the details.

Day 1: February 15, Saturday, 2020

8:30 am: Mehrauli: The Origins Of Delhi walk – the walk aims at narrating the story of Delhi’s rise from an outpost into the bustling national capital that it is today.

11:30 am: Purani Dilli & Food Walk – as the name suggests, this walk will take you through the sprinting, time-stuck lanes of Delhi and will introduce you to the lively neighbourhood of Shahjahanabad. Of course, lots of food will be there and you will fall in love with it.

3:30 pm: Indulge in the age-old tradition of Kabootar Bazi (the practice of pigeon flying) from the rooftops of Old Delhi. While the sport has a few remaining practitioners left, one rarely gets to be a part of this. The exclusivity of this event makes it an absolute gem.

4:30 pm: Indulge in a cultural evening of Mushaira at Ghalib’s Haveli as four budding poets of Delhi join in for the experience.

Day 2: February 16, Sunday, 2020

07:30 am: Explore the grandeur of Lutyens Delhi on an e-cycle tour.

The charges for these walks are INR 18,500 (without accommodation) and INR 21,500 (with accommodation). These charges include conveyance, food, entry to the monuments, Mushaira, musicians, and the event of Kabootar Bazi as well.
