These Gorgeous Ice Castles In the US & Canada Will Be Your Perfect Winter Wonderland!

All your daydreams about the Snow Queen Elsa’s ice castle from the 2013 wintry Disney musical, Frozen, will soon come true with magnificent ice castles around the US and Canada this winter. By Ritika Dixit

Renowned for creating some of the most unique winter wonderlands, the company Ice Castles is building ice castles using hundreds and thousands of icicles hand-placed by professional ice artists, to provide visitors with the opportunity to experience something truly magical. The company has dedicated itself to the creation of unique winter wonderlands unlike any other since 2011.

These grand ice castle creations provide ice lovers with more than just Instagram likes; it provides them with a one-of-a-kind maze experience, light shows with colour changing LED lights, frozen thrones, ice-carved tunnels, slides and fountains make this wintry affair truly wholesome. The ice castle creations reach a height of about 30 feet. The newest features to the attractions include an additional slide overlooking a fountain and perhaps even a steam-spewing volcano. You can choose your adventure and meander through the park at your pleasure to get your own unique experience of this icy wonder.

Visiting the ice castles calls for strategic planning that relies entirely on the weather conditions. Most ice castles are up for visitors in December or January. Some spellbinding castles stay open for the entire winter season as well while others are erected only for one or two weeks for the ice festival.

What started with a mini ice castle in the front yard of Brent Christensen in Utah, has now expanded to six other locations, namely, Dillon in Colorado, New Brighton in Minnesota, North Woodstock in New Hampshire, Lake Geneva in Wisconsin, Midway in Utah, and Edmonton, Alberta in Canada. The construction of each spot is unique owing to the differing local climate of the regions.

We are eagerly waiting for the exact date of opening to be announced! Here’s to the happiness, laughter and unforgettable winter memories!
