Coronavirus has pretty much taken over the world. However, there are still some Indian states that have managed to stay away and safe from the pandemic, thanks to the timely restrictive measures instilled by them. By Kumar Shree

The northeastern states of India have safely managed to dodge the coronavirus bullet, though despite being untouched by the pandemic for the longest period of time, it is only recently that some of these states have identified a few positive cases.

1. Sikkim

Sikkim is a melting pot of two different cultures, where traditional monasteries of Tibetan Buddhism and Hindu shrines coexist in absolute harmony. The verdant Himalayan state has fortunately managed to stay away from the deadly virus.

2. Meghalaya

Meghalaya recently saw a big tourism event — The Meghalayan Age — which attracted visitors from all across the country. However, it was still at the time when coronavirus had just entered India. The state was quick to implement preventive measures and travel restrictions in place, which has helped it remain untouched.

3. Nagaland

Known for the famous Hornbill Festival, Nagaland is also away from the clutches of Coronavirus, and we hope it stays the same.

4. States And Union Territories With 10 Or Fewer Cases

Andaman and Nicobar Islands (10), Chhattisgarh (10), Goa (7), Puducherry (5), Jharkhand (4), Manipur (2), Arunachal Pradesh (1), Dadar and Nagar Haveli (1), Mizoram (1), and Tripura (1) have 10 or fewer cases as of now.
