IndiGo is allowing passengers to hold their bookings by paying just 10 per cent of the total fare. “Secure your booking by paying only 10%* of the total fare amount with minimum INR 400. Balance payment can be made up to 15 days* from the date of booking or 15 days* before the date of departure whichever is earlier,” the airline mentioned on its website.
The option will be available only for bookings made for domestic flights via its website. The amount charged per passenger, will either be 10 per cent of the ticket fare or INR 400, whichever is higher. Moreover, one will have to use the option within 15 days, and it will be available on a limited number of seats only, depending upon the availability. However, in case the passenger cancels the booking, IndiGo won’t refund the Flex Pay amount.

This step has been taken by the airline in light of the surge in prices and the risk of catching Coronavirus, which is stopping people from booking flight tickets. However, the airline holds the right to withdraw or modify the terms and conditions at any time stating any reason. Moreover, customers are not allowed to modify their bookings, until they have paid the outstanding amount for their bookings before the Flex Pay Period.

Furthermore, starting July 3 to July 15, IndiGo and GoAir will also join Air India in operating repatriation flights under phase four of Vande Bharat Mission. “Pvt Airlines will have significant participation in Phase-4 of VBM. Among others, @IndiGo6E will operate 238 flights from Qatar & 219 flights from Kuwait; while @goairlinesindia will operate 41 flights from Kuwait. The number of private carriers, flights & destinations likely to increase,” Ministry of Civil Aviation confirmed in a tweet. It had also earlier mentioned that the said number of flights are likely to go further up.
