Hotels across India have been putting their best foot forward when it comes to lending a helping hand for rescue workers and frontliners during COVID-19 lockdown. The most recent establishment to join the bandwagon is Lemon Tree Hotels. Here is all they are doing! By Amitha Ameen

Lemon Tree Hotels across the country are welcoming guests and COVID-19 frontliners to their properties. Apart from opening up its rooms as quarantine facilities, the hotel is also donating food to those in need during this dire situation.

The hotel has collaborated with Apollo Hospitals as part of “Project Stay I’ to use its hotels for quarantine facilities and turn its rooms into clean-rooms for guest who are asymptomatic and have been in contact with infected people, and for those who have a recent travel history from COVID-19 affected countries. Additionally, the hotel is also offering its rooms to stranded travellers who are stuck in the country due to the lockdown.

Lemon Tree is also offering its rooms at discounted rates for healthcare workers, police force and basically anybody who is at the frontline of fighting this pandemic while following all the guidelines released by the World Health Organisation.

Red Fox by Lemon Tree Hotels in Alwar has been distributing food packets to the needy and underprivileged in the surrounding areas.

Indian hotels across the country have been taking all the measures and precautions necessary to ease the situation while providing their facilities wherever needed. The tourism and hospitality sector, although one of the worst-hit industries because of the coronavirus, has come together and put on a united front in the fight against the virus.
