Vistara Launches Daily Mumbai-Dubai Flights

Vistara Launches Daily Mumbai-Dubai Flights

Flyers frequently travelling between Mumbai-Dubai, who missed the signature Vistara hospitality and experience on the route, can now rejoice as the Tata-SIA joint venture has launched daily Mumbai-Dubai Vistara flights. By Kumar Shree

After making the debut of its daily international flights from Mumbai and Delhi to Singapore starting August 6, Vistara has now launched its second international route between Mumbai-Dubai. The maiden Mumbai-Dubai Vistara flight UK 201 took off from the Mumbai airport’s T2 at 4:25 pm on Wednesday, August 21 and landed in Dubai at around 6:15 pm. The same from Dubai to Mumbai, the UK 202 takes off from Dubai at 7:15 pm and lands in Mumbai at 12:15 am the next day. The return fares for the same on introductory price comes at INR 17,820.

On the occasion of this Mumbai-Dubai Vistara flight launch, Vistara’s CEO Leslie Thng said, “We’re very excited to start our service to Dubai, a city that’s home to millions of Indians, place of business for many Indian corporations and is also the most preferred holiday destination for so many people. Now Dubai also has India’s best airline that’s committed to making a mark in global aviation with a world-class product and gold-standard service.”

Apart from the two international destinations, Vistara is also all set to operate on a third international Delhi-Bangkok route starting August 27. The flight UK 121 will take off from Delhi at 08:25 am and will land in Bangkok at 2:15 pm. The same from Bangkok, UK 122, will take off from Bangkok at 3:15 pm and will land in Delhi at 5:55 pm.

Vistara celebrated its maiden flight to Dubai with its passengers by gifting them a bag filled of memorabilia and chocolates marking the occasion. Vistara is also looking forward to entering the European market by 2020, followed by the Australian and North American markets. It is exploring codeshare partnerships with British Airways, Japan Airlines, Silk Air, and United Airlines for the same.

As of now, Vistara operates over 1,200 flights every week to 27 destinations and has flown more than 16 million customers since it started operations in 2015. Talking about the fleet, it uses a mix of both Airbus and Boeing flights with 23 Airbus A320 and seven 737-800NG aircrafts at present.
