Oberoi Hotels has come forward to feed the needy during the pandemic. The group is now distributing healthy packed meals every day across cities through various government agencies, NGOs and local authorities. The meals are further given to those struggling to make ends meet as a result of the ramifications of the COVID-19 outbreak, and to both the medical as well as other key frontliners.

The Oberoi, Mumbai and Trident, Nariman Point are providing meals as a service to the Government agencies working round the clock. Trident, Nariman Point has also offered accommodation for on-duty BMC doctors, and have in fact designated a separate floor and an elevator specifically for themThe hotel’s housekeeping staff is also abiding by the hygiene and safety protocols by using Hazmat Suits.   

Trident, BKC, has also made a major contribution in the name of NGO Shanti Avedna Sadan and is also regularly providing dry ration during the lockdown. In addition to this, the hotel is daily arranging for meals for low-income societies under strict quarantine.

Similarly, The Oberoi, New Delhi and The Oberoi, Gurgaon, are organising packed meals every dayto the local district office and Delhi disaster authority, to further be distributed among people who are struggling to sustain themselves in the current situation. “In such trying times, a small gesture can go a long way in helping those who need it the most. To this end, The Oberoi, Gurgaon is organising packed meals daily, which will be given to the local district health office to distribute to the underprivileged. “#StayHome #StaySafe,” The Oberoi Gurgaon said in a tweet.

Meanwhile, The Oberoi, Bengaluru is supporting the medical fraternity by giving packed meals to St. Philomena’s Hospital staff. The hospital is feeding over 20,000 in-patients and 1,60,000 out-patients and is also offering free and subsidised services to the marginalised sections of the society.

Moreover, The Oberoi Grand, Kolkata has been offering meals to the underprivileged on a daily basis, through the Missionaries of Charity. Clarkes Hotel, Shimla is helping the differently-abled people who are struggling to have access to essential utilities due to the breakdown in transportation, by distributing essential food items. 

Furthermore, with the help of the local authority, the Maidens Hotel in New Delhi has been preparing packed meals every day for the international travellers stranded in the capital due to the current travel restrictions.
