From March 17 onwards, the Paris Opera has been screening its performances from archives to the public for free. From operas and ballets and many other greats, all of it will be available online on its website. From Swan Lake to Don Giovanni and The Barber of Seville, the Paris Opera is unveiling its many great classics that we get to enjoy from our homes for free now!

The Paris Opera had to cancel all its future shows and close its doors after the country announced a ban on public gatherings of more than 100 people. “We close our theatres (halls, amphitheatre, studios wickets) and activities (artistic teams, technical rehearsals…) are suspended,” read a notice on one of their official handles.

France had recently announced a drop in death rates, with the total count from the coronavirus epidemic in the country now at 14,393. The country has been in lockdown since March 17 as a measure to curb the rising spread of the epidemic.
