Following almost a six-month-long battle with Coronavirus with the first case reported as far back as December 2019, the people of Wuhan seem to have taken their achievements of ‘zero new cases’ in full spirits. According to a report by The Indian Express, thousands of people from the former Coronavirus epicentre were recently spotted making merry in water pools without masks. The report states that partygoers had huddled at the Wuhan Maya Beach Water Park to attend an electronic music festival, floating in inflatable rubber tubes shoulder-to-shoulder without masks.
NDTV states that people were captured donning life jackets along with plastic pouches to protect their phones from the water. Reportedly, a performer on a water jet board was also pictured hovering above the crowd, and a mask-less DJ playing songs from the stage.

Notably, the water park reopened in June with heavy discounts, states a report by Times Now. As per the same report, the water park also fell prey to a 50 per cent decreased footfall due to the pandemic and seasonal rain.
Earlier, reports of Prague in the Czech Republic organising a grand farewell dinner bidding adieu to the pandemic surfaced online. Then, a 1,640-foot-long table (500 metres), was set up at the Charles Bridge where people gathered with food and drinks from their homes.
