As India and the world witnesses the iconic Ram Temple’s foundation laying ceremony today on August 5, we bring to you a few pictures that will help you envision the grandeur of this monumental structure. By Kumar Shree
Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra, the trust that has been given the responsibility to bring along the structure of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, recently released some images of the projected structure. We bring to you those and many other pictures to give you a glimpse of how the Ram Temple will look like upon completion in three years.
As opposed to the earlier proposed design, the Ram Temple will be much larger in proportion. While three new domes come as an addition to the design, the height has also been increased by 20 feet.
With the update in design, the temple premises can now accommodate more devotees — around one lakh at a time.
This is how the temple dome will look like from within; an intricate and fine specimen of carving.
Reports also suggest that gold and silver will be used in designing the main doors of the temple.
Each floor of the temple will have a theme related to Lord Ram. Right from the glimpse of his childhood in the form of jhaanki to Ram Darbar — every element will be incorporated.
The previous design of the temple was made over three decades ago that has now been updated. The height of the temple will be 161-feet now.

The team of L&T and all the machinery has reached the construction site. Once PM Modi commences the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony, the construction will begin.
