In the ever-growing world of the hospitality industry, the obligation for incorporating socially and environmentally responsible practices into its functioning is increasing too. Aware of this, Relais & Châteaux Indian Subcontinent (R&C) has decided to leverage this potential and host a Relais & Châteaux Charity Gala and Fundraiser on January 25, 2020. Travel + Leisure India & South Asia has joined hands with R&C by doubling as the exclusive media partner for the event, wherein a shared ideology of mindful travel binds the two brands together.
Scheduled to be held at The Great Eastern Mills in Mumbai, the glamorous night will include a soirée of dinner and drinks, set against the philanthropic backdrop of raising funds Nanhi Kali – their charity partner which supports the education of the girl child. Over the course of the evening, auctions will be held by R&C’s member properties and partners. Lots – ranging from INR 1 lakhs to 10 lakhs – will include experiences such as all-expense included journeys through the best of The Carnatic Dialogue, or The Ultimate Beachside Break. The guest list, too, would see a resonance of the glamourous vibe which would paint the night. Some of the finest hoteliers, and the who’s who of the industry, media, arts, and society are expected to grace the occasion.
Auction aside, the evening would also include a gourmet five-course meal headlined by Michelin Starred Chef Hrishikesh Desai, chef at the Gilpin Hotel & Lake House, United Kingdom. The Hrishi Experience would include a unique menu inspired and paired with the exquisite collections of Zoya Jewellery, and professional sommeliers pairing the courses with wine. Champagne cocktails, fine whisky and cognac will accompany the three food stations serving R&C India hotels’ signature dishes to add to the glory.
