#SomeGoodNews: Spain To Resume International Tourism From July 1
Editor’s note: The global COVID-19 crisis has left each one of us deeply affected and we want to help. Burda Media India has organised a fundraising campaign to #FightBackWithTesting and donating RT-PCR test kits to the worst-affected areas in India, which will be secured from our testing partner Mylab Discovery Solutions. While some parts of the world are still struggling to curb the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic, some others have not only managed to successfully contain it but are also resuming domestic and international tourism. Spain is one such country that is all set to resume international tourism starting July 1, and that too with no quarantine mandate. By Kumar Shree

Spain is working towards resuming international tourism starting from July 1. It is taking all the necessary steps to guarantee maximum safety and security of tourists so as to prevent the virus from re-entering the country through international travellers. The country is also working towards charting out common rules for freedom of movement in the Schengen areas and the United Kingdom. These guidelines fall under three main premises: security guarantees, health capacity, and transparency. It is also exploring the possibility of establishing a safe corridor with countries outside the European Union with adequate epidemiological conditions.

By the end of June, our favourite Spanish destinations will pass through a thorough de-escalation process to achieve the new normalcy. Once they achieve the desired epidemiological state, they will reopen the doors for both national and international tourists. Spain has also worked on 21 guides to implement and ensure maximum hygienic-security measures throughout the tourist value chain. This will reduce the risk of Coronavirus contagion.

Apart from all these revolutionary measures, Spain has also declared to have no quarantine from July 1. It is also working to achieve a common protocol for security checks to provide a hassle-free experience to all tourists.

We can say that the miraculous world of the fiesta, flamenco, Picasso, paella, and Dalí is all set to welcome you (sooner than you can imagine).
