With aviation authorities around the world making efforts to resume international flights in a safe manner, things are seemingly changing for better in the post-Corona world. In other news, SpiceJet has resumed flights to Dubai from five major Indian cities. Read on for more details. By Kumar Shree
Indian budget carrier SpiceJet has announced flights to Dubai from Delhi, Jaipur, Kozhikode, Madurai and Mumbai. These flights will operate between August 17 to 31. Since the Coronavirus pandemic is very much lingering among us, people will need to meet certain eligibility criteria to board these flights.

Only those with a valid UAE visa and citizens of the UAE can board these flights from India. For flights coming from UAE to India, only stranded Indian citizens, Overseas Citizens of India cardholders holding UAE passports, and citizens of the UAE with a valid Indian visa can board these flights.
Apart from these, all passengers must have a COVID-19 negative test certificate conducted by an ICMR-approved lab, 96 hours prior to boarding the flight. Passengers travelling to and from Dubai must fill the health declaration form at SpiceJet’s website, and they must have valid health insurance as well.

GoAir and Vistara are also operating flights to the UAE from India. While GoAir is operating scheduled flights, Vistara is operating under the ‘air bubble’ agreement.
Vistara also tweeted about the same: “Soaring towards international skies. Fly with us to Dubai with direct flights under the air bubble agreement till 30-August-2020. Book now https://bit.ly/342rP3x #FlyHigher.”
