1. Sitata

Sitata is a travel, safety and health app. From planning your trips tmanaging your itinerary, Sitata helps you manage pretty much everything. It uses artificial intelligence (AI) to monitor global events that could disrupt your travel, such as, flight delays, blockage of routes or instances of violence, by sending you an alert. It also helps you get in touch with the services required in case of a medical emergency or any other crisis. Given the current pandemic situation, Sitata is now focussed to keep you updated on the virus so that you can travel stress-free.

2. Kaspersky QR Scanner

With more and more public places especially malls, restaurants, hotels, etc., offering touchless facilities such as digital menu and online payment, to avoid surface contamination, this app needs to be installed today, if you don’t already have an in-built scanner in your cell phone. Not only does it help you scan QR codes, but also alerts you against cyber threats. It even stores all your scan results for future use.

3. DigiLocker

An application established by the Indian Government, DigiLocker provides 1GB of cloud space for storing and sharing your official documents such as Aadhar Card, driving license, passport and mark sheets. This means, now you don’t need to carry your important documents everywhere and stress about losing them. You can access all of them with just one click and can use them for any verification procedures. What makes it even better is the fact that it even saves you from verification errors and eliminates the usage of hard copies while travelling.

4. FlyzyGo

The main features of FlyzyGo, a mobile application developed by IIT Guwahati students, is to make air travel easy during the pandemic. This app provides a personalised experience for passengers and airlines. Users can search for information regarding airport shopping, parking, baggage drop, boarding and other flight updates. The Beta version of the FlyzyGo app is available for android users. The application will soon launch on the iOS platform

5. OpenTable 

Finding a good and safe restaurant in a new location is challenging, which is where this app comes into play, as it helps you search for restaurants in a holistic manner. Read reviews and make online reservations, anytime from anywhere. It even rewards you with points for some of your bookings, which you can redeem in the form of an Amazon gift card and magazine subscriptions. Safety precautions available at the restaurants can be also checked through this app.
