We Discovered Another Hidden Gem Of Lodhi Colony, New Delhi!

Classy décor, elegant ambience and scrumptious farm-to-table indulgences make Tres a game-changer in Delhi’s fine-dining orb. We visited this iconic restaurant on a balmy summer afternoon to experience their recently launched ‘Botanical’s Inspired Sunday Brunch’. By Priyanka Chakrabarti

Located on the posh green stretch of Lodhi Colony, Tres is a brainchild of culinary mavericks Julia Carmen Desa and Jatin Mallick. As we entered the space, the first glance at the décor set our moods for a delightful Sunday brunch. The entire space was enveloped in the cosy palette of greys and browns with subtle hints of greenery. The lime green swivel chairs by a Danish furniture company, BoConcept contrasted the charcoal grey walls beautifully. In fact, what struck my attention the most was their tiny outdoor seating area dotted with plants!

Now, let me elaborate a little bit on Tres’ Botanical’s inspired Sunday Brunch. This season, Tres is pairing up ingredients of ‘The Botanist Gin’ to launch botanical’s inspired brunch menu, thereby, infusing the ‘farm to table’ concept in their menu.

Tres is all about curating delicacies using the best hyper-local produce, whereas, The Botanist Gin is known for its nine customary gin aromatics of a further 22 locally picked wild Islay botanicals. And the brand-new menu exhibits the best of both worlds blending seamlessly at each table, every Sunday at Tres!

Some of the iconic dishes to try here at the brunch are salad of Juniper cured Scottish salmon with red onion, cucumber, radish and sea buckthorn; Josper baked flatbread with pulled lamb, mint and onion salad, horseradish yoghurt, pickled chilly, rocket and whipped feta; and, Shrimp and lump crab omelette with raclette, chives and tobiko.

We absolutely loved the salad of lump crab, the seafood risotto and the Josper baked flatbread with pulled lamb. For drinks, I would highly recommend the Buming Pineapple Margarita, Old Market Fashioned and their Kombucha.

If you are planning to go for their Sunday brunch, I would say, reserve a table in advance because it really gets crowded!
