Vistara, India’s finest full-service carrier achieves another milestone by becoming the country’s first airline to fly a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. India’s only five-star airline, Vistara, took delivery of its first wide-body aircraft, the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, on February 27, 2020. The aircraft will arrive in India on February 29, 2020. The new Boeing 787 Dreamliner is the first of the six purchased by Vistara. The second Vistara Dreamliner will also be delivered soon and is currently on the production line. These flights have 299 seats divided into three-class cabin configuration i.e. Business, Premium Economy and Economy.
The business class seats in Vistara’s Dreamliners will feature lie-flat seats in a 1-2-1 configuration giving direct aisle access to each Business Class passenger. A separate Premium Economy cabin will offer seating on a 2-3-2 configuration. Focusing on its commitment to deliver an unparalleled flying experience, Vistara’s Dreamliners will come with a host of features in all three cabins.
These features include cutting-edge in-flight entertainment systems powered by Panasonic. This will come with in-seat TVs in all three cabins offering high-definition display. These flights will also offer in-flight WiFi internet connectivity on-board on long-haul international flights. The on-board WiFi service is also a first offered by any aircraft in India.
These Boeing 787 Dreamliners will also have Boeing-designed advanced air purification system along with more headroom and space in overhead bins. While larger windows will give you a sense of roomier seating, the turbulence-dampening technology, and lower cabin altitude will ensure you arrive at your destination feeling fresh and relaxed.

Vistara’s first Boeing 787-9 aircraft will fly customers within India starting March 2020 before commencing with the long-haul international operations.
