What All Can You See?

On the Windsor Castle virtual tour, you can see three massive rooms inside the castle. These are the State Banquet in St. George’s Hall, the Waterloo Chamber, and the Crimson Drawing Room, all of which are specimens of stunning architecture, spellbinding interiors, breathtaking design, and marvellous detailing. Let’s tell you a bit more about these three rooms.

State Banquet in St. George’s Hall

As the name suggests, this one is mainly used for hosting state banquets. When the visiting Head of State arrives at the castle, this is where he/she is welcomed. It can host up to 160 individuals at a time.

P.S. When taking the virtual tour, try taking a close look at the ceiling, and don’t miss out on the additional information about design elements like the pineapple and the candle on the dining table.

Waterloo Chamber

One of the busiest rooms in the castle, the chamber celebrates the victory over the French in the Battle of Waterloo. It is lined with portraits of celebrated and notable individuals who earned the victory in the battle by defeating Napoleon.

P.S. Do take a close look at the carpet of this room as the inmates of Agra prison made it for Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee. We bet you didn’t know that.

Crimson Drawing Room

This one is regularly used by the queen for private events. Its bedazzling elegance will bowl you over at first sight.

P.S. Make sure to click through all the information icons.

So, what are you waiting for, go ahead and soak in the 900-year-old history of Windsor Castle via this virtual tour!
