Good news for travellers, as this Holi the Indian Railways is coming up with 26 special trains to avoid the extra rush, witnessed during the festival.

Indian Railways To Introduce 26 Special Trains For Holi

In order to avoid extra rush on the festival of Holi, the Indian Railways has decided to run 26 special trains between Mumbai, Pune, Varanasi, Balharshah, Mua, and Danapur, among others. The announcement was made recently by the Central Railway. The bookings for the aforesaid trains have already started, and are scheduled to run from March 5 to March 15.  

As per reports, at least 10 extra trains will run between Pune and Balharshah, and four weekly special trains on Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) to Patna, four each on LTT to Varanasi, Pune to Danapur route, and on LTT to Mau. 

Weekly special 02049 will leave from Pune at 5:30 pm every Tuesday, from March 3 to March 31, and will reach Balharshah at 2:55 pm next day. It will take total five trips within this time frame. Meanwhile, another weekly special 01480, will leave from Balharshah every Wednesday at 6:15 pm, from March 4 to April 1, and will reach Pune the next day at 5 pm. This one will also take five trips within this period. The trains having 20 coaches, will halt at Lonavala, Kalyan, Vasai Road, Virar, Palghar, Vapi, Valsad, Navsari, Bhestan, Chalthan, Nandurbar, Amalner, Dharagaon, Paldhi, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Malkapur, Shegaon, Akola, Badnera, Dhamangaon, Wardha, Hinganghat and Chandrapur. 

Moreover, on the LTT-Patna-LTT route, train 02041 will start at 5:10 am from LTT on March 5 and March 12, and will arrive at Patna at 11:20 am next day. Another train 01104, will start from Patna at 9:00 pm on March 6 and March 13 and will arrive LTT at 4:10 am the third day. These trains with 23 coaches will take four weekly trips, and will halt at Thane, Kalyan, Igatpuri, Nashik Road, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Harda, ItarsiPipapriya, Gadarwara, Narsinghpur, Madan Mahal, Jabalpur, Katni, Maihar, Satna, Manikpur, Allahabad Chheoki, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaye, Buxar and Ara. 

Furthermore, train 01117 will leave LTT at 11:05 pm on March 8 and March 15, and will reach Varanasi at 6:15 am on the third day. Train no. 02048 will leave Varanasi at 8:00 am on March 10 and March 17, and will arrive at LTT the next day. These trains with 23 coaches, will also take four weekly trips, and will halt at Thane, Kalyan, Igatpuri, Nashik Road, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Harda, ItarsiPipapriya, Gadarwara, Narsinghpur, Madan Mahal, Jabalpur, Katni, Maihar, Satna, Manikpur and Allahabad Chheoki. 

Train 02043 on LTT-Mau-LTT route will leave LTT at 5:10 am on March 7 and March 14, and will reach Mau at 9:50 am the next day. Train 01120 will leave Mau at 7:25 am on March 8 and March 15, and will reach LTT at 5 am on the third day. Total halts will be Thane, Kalyan, Igatpuri, Nashik Road, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Harda, Itarsi, Hoshangabad, Bhopal, Vidisha, Bina, Saugor, Damoh, Katni Murwara, Maihar, Satna, Manikpur and Allahabad Chheoki, Varanasi and Aunrihar Jn.

Lastly, train 01123 on Pune-Danapur-Pune route will start from Pune at 5:40 pm on March 8 and March 15, and will reach Danapur at 1:30 pm on the third day. Another train 01124 will start from leave Danapur at 6:30 am on March 11 and March 17, and will arrive Pune at 5:10 pm the next day. These will halt at Ahmednagar, Belapur, Kopargaon, Manmad, Bhusaval, Khandwa, ItarsiPipapriya, Gadarwara, Narsinghpur, Madan Mahal, Jabalpur, Katni, Maihar, Satna, Manikpur, Allahabad Chheoki, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaye, Buxar and Ara.
