World's First Hangover Museum Opens In Croatia. Cheers To That!

Ever woken up hungover after a boozy night and heard your friends narrate your crazy stories? I surely have, only to pray the night never happened. Well, now you have a museum dedicated to your hangovers where you can bond over such stories. By Ritika Dixit

A Museum of Hangovers recently opened in Zagreb, Croatia and we are just as surprised as you are! The museum is dedicated to wild ‘About last night…stories and is filled with objects acquired during your crazy outings that resulted in a hangover. The brick-and-mortar building gives people a chance to share their tales of being under the influence, try various fun tasks involving beer goggles and have a look at the bizarre objects that people discovered after waking up hungover.

The museum is a ‘test concept’ and brain-child of Rino Dubovokic, a college student studying computer science in Zagreb. During a memorable night out, of swapping some of the funniest hangover stories with his friends, the idea of some sort of collection where all the objects from drunk stories would be exposed, dawned on Dubokovic. Six months later, the building next to where the boozy night had taken place was named: The Museum of Hangovers.

Dubokovic has clarified that the purpose of the museum is not to glorify overindulgence in alcohol and it’s just a physical representation of the kind of drunken experiences and stories that he has shared with his friends over the years. The museum is all about bonding over things done in the past.

The clientele of the museum does not come as a surprise with 51 per cent of student visitors. In future, Dubokovic hopes that the positive reactions will help him get more funding with which he’ll be able to move this collection of chaos and memories to a bigger location.
