TAG Heuer recently announced a new iteration of a celebrated icon: the all-black, lume-dial TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 Night Diver. The Night Diver was first introduced in the mid-80s and became an instant classic. This is a faithful update, improving signature details such as the 12-sided bezel and the dial’s horizontal engraved lines. Its stainless-steel case, bezel, crown, caseback, and clasp are all coated in matt black diamond-like carbon, known as DLC. Its dial is coated in green Super-LumiNova®, and minute and central seconds hands are filled with blue lume for contrast.

2. Star Legacy Nicolas Rieussec Chronograph LE 200, Montblanc, Price on request

Montblanc is marking the 200th anniversary of the inking chronograph invented by French watchmaker Nicolas Rieussec. Inspired by the original device, this watch features two rotating, horizontally-aligned, chronograph discs with fixed double index combined with a gold-coloured dial. The two subsidiary chronograph dials are inset into the base. A silver-hued open-worked hand points to a second time zone.

3. Nautilus 5711/1A, Patek Philippe, Price on request

Following the announcement that 2021 will be the last production year of the stainless-steel model Ref. 5711/1A, Patek Philippe presents a new olive-green sunburst dial for the iconic Nautilus, which was first launched in 1976. The latest olive-green shade is emphasised with a gentle sunburst finish that harmonises with the light reflected from the steel case. The case is water-resistant to 120 metres.

4. Heritage BiCompax Annual Lucerne, Carl F. Bucherer, INR 6,56,000

This watch was inspired by a classic Lincoln Cosmopolitan Town Sedan that belonged to Carl Eduard Bucherer, the son of CFB’s founder. It has a 41-mm stainless-steel case, presented on a Milanese stainless-steel bracelet or a leather strap. The silver-coloured dial features light blue subdials with chronograph minutes and small seconds counters, complemented by a light blue ring with a tachymeter scale. The CFB Calibre 1972 automatic chronograph has a power reserve of 42 hours.

5. Silver Arrow, Longines, INR 1,61,000

The new Longines Silver Arrow infuses life back into a model with characteristics of the 1950s: a time when race cars and supersonic airplanes appealed to the imagination of young and old alike. Driven by an exclusive self-winding movement fitted with a silicon balance-spring Calibre L888.5 offering 72 hours power reserve and 25,200 vibrations per hour, the Longines Silver Arrow comes with a five-year warranty. In keeping with the original 1950s Silver Arrow model, the back of the new watch is engraved with a supersonic plane flying through the stars. Housed in a round case measuring 38.5 mm in diameter, the watch displays functions of hours, minutes and seconds.
