Malta International Airport will add more destinations to the list upon receiving clearance from health authorities.

The Malta International Airport has also kept the COVID-19 test at bay. The incoming passengers will only need to undertake a thermal screening and present a duly filled self-declaration form. This form will ask the required details about passengers, including their travel history within the past few months.

In the press release, Johann Buttigieg, Chief Executive Officer of the Malta Tourism Authority said, “This global pandemic has created worldwide turmoil, disrupting lives and impacting economic activity, everywhere. Tourism had to be put temporarily on hold. The fact that our borders will be reopening once again is a cause for celebration as we welcome visitors from abroad who chose Malta as their first post-COVID destination”.

An event called ‘Visit Malta Now’ will be held in early July to celebrate the reopening.
