But now, Air India Express has opened ticket bookings for international flights to Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Bahrain. These tickets are being booked under Phase 6 of the Vande Bharat Mission. Flyers can book their tickets through the airline’s official website. They can also avail bookings by calling at the call centre numbers, city office, or through authorised travel agents.

Other than this, Air India had also announced that it will operate additional flights to Singapore. These flights will be in addition to the ones already announced by India’s flag carrier at the beginning of phase six of repatriation operations.

The flight operator also declared the same through their Twitter handle. They wrote, “#FlyWithIX: Bookings are now open for

Regarding the suspension of international flights till September 30, as reported by News18, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation said in a statement, “The competent authority has further extended the suspension on the scheduled international commercial passenger services to/from India up to 2359 hours IST of 30th September… However, this restriction shall not apply to international all-cargo operations and flights specifically approved by DGCA.”

Under the provision of operating specially-approved flights, the government will continue to operate flights established under the travel bubble scheme. While India has already established travel bubbles with the US, Germany, Dubai, UK, Canada, France, and several other countries, it is now working to establish more of these soon.

At present, India is operating cargo, domestic and international flights under the Vande Bharat Mission, and several other international flights under the travel bubble scheme.
