Ever since the second wave of COVID-19 hit India, it has brought the people of the country together by rekindling their fighting spirit. While people are trying their best to help each other in every way, businesses and industries are also coming forward to help. Tata Group is one such company.

Tata Group has declared that it will fly all government doctors and nurses for free on its domestic network of Vistara Airlines. Notably, Vistara is a joint venture of Tata Sons Private Limited and Singapore Airlines Limited (SIA).
The Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India, shared the letter from Vistara on its official Twitter handle, commending the “generous offer.” A part of the letter reads, “We are also happy to fly doctors and nurses representing government organisations, free of cost, across our domestic network, and also fly them back on the conclusion of their service.”

Vistara also offered to help government organisations and hospitals with any immediate air logistics needs. The airline also said that it would accommodate doctors and nurses on a first-come-first-serve basis because of limited seat availability.

Earlier, Tata Group made headlines for importing 24 cryogenic containers through special chartered flights to overcome the oxygen crisis, a gesture that PM Modi also praised via his Twitter account. “Compassionate gesture by the Tata Group. Together, the people of India will fight COVID-19,” he wrote.
