Is Croatia now a part of Schengen?
According to a published report on Times Travel, travellers will be permitted to travel to the 27th member nation of Schengen – Croatia – on a Schengen visa from January 1, 2023. The border check-free actions will be carried out from January 1. However, the technical arrangements in the country’s airport will begin to follow this newest implementation on March 26, 2022.
Which states are Schengen states?
Hungary, Bosnia, Montenegro, sea borders of Italy, Serbia, Slovenia, and Herzegovina share their borders with Croatia. And, out of these countries, Italy, Hungary, and Slovenia are considered to be Schengen states.
Previously, on November 16, 2022, the commission approached the council to serve the necessary announcement of permitting Croatia, Bulgaria, and Romania to take part in the Schengen area. Joining the Schengen has been a topmost requirement for these three member states. Following this, a communication was held last month to address the subject, given the absolute investment of these states in the preservation of Schengen.
