In a bid to support the mass-vaccination drive in India, GoFirst also announced a 20 percent discount on domestic flight bookings for passengers who are fully vaccinated and have had their second dose no earlier than 15 days prior to the date of departure.
While at the airport, passengers who’ve availed this offer will need to present their COVID-19 vaccination certificate that has been issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. Alternatively, they could show their vaccination status on the Aarogya Setu mobile application. Those who fail to do this will be charged the difference in fare and might be fined. According to the company, this can only be redeemed on the official website or mobile app and will require the passengers to enter the promo code GOVACCI in the promo code section on the search page, according to a report by Zee News.
This move comes in months after Indian carrier IndiGo airlines first announced a 10 percent discount for fully vaccinated travellers in June, as reported by India Today.
