Maya shares information on destinations, experiences, and options for stay, amongst other things. This includes insight into must-visit spots, historical places, ecotourism options, arts and culture hubs, ongoing and upcoming festivals, recommended local food options, visa information, COVID-19 protocol, and weather updates. Tourists can also stay updated on a host of the latest details regarding any part of Kerala through the course of their stay. This innovation comes on the heels of the state launching Caravan Tourism and exploring a host of other opportunities like heli-tourism and cruise-tourism for vacationers. Kerala Tourism Director, VR Krishna Teja, stated that the responsibility of the tourism administration was to ensure that tourists had access to all information during their visit, adding that Maya was a timely intervention to achieve this goal, reports Financial Express.
