In the latest notification by the government, partially vaccinated or unvaccinated individuals who wish to head out of the state will need to present a negative RT-PCR test report within 72 hours of their departure time. No such restrictions apply to fully vaccinated individuals and the mandate will come into force on March 4, a news report by The Mint adds.

In addition to this, authorities opened up entertainment and recreational zones, including gyms and spas, in 14 districts across Maharashtra, namely Mumbai city, Mumbai suburban, Pune, Bhandara, Sindhudurg, Nagpur, Raigad, Wardha, Ratnagiri, Satara, Sangli, Gondia, Chandrapur and Kolhapur, as per a report by India.com. This, officials state, is because over 90 percent of people of the region have taken their first dose and 70 percent have taken the second dose. The positivity rate in these spots is under 10 percent and bed occupancy for ICU beds is at 40 percent, as per the report by The Mint.

Other administrative units that are not on the list of approved establishments will operate at 50 percent capacity for the time being.
