The mysterious monolith that is doing the rounds on social media has now reached India. The travelling monolith recently made an appearance at a park in Ahmedabad. And this time, it came with a cryptic message! By Kumar Shree
The travelling monolith that has been creating headlines across the globe has finally reached India. The three-sided metal structure made an appearance at the Symphony Forest Park in Ahmedabad. This time the monolith came with some embedded symbols and numbers. People are still trying to figure out the meaning of these symbols that seem like a cryptic message.
Speculations suggest that these numbers and signs are about a message regarding nature and environment conservation. Coincidentally, just like every other monolith, even this one popped out of nowhere. Initially, no one had any explanation about how this travelling monolith appeared in the park. However, later some park officials cleared the doubt.

As reported by independent.co.uk, Jignesh Patel, the Director of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation’s garden department, in his statement to the Press Trust of India said, “The structure has been installed by the company for the visitors. People can see their reflection on the shiny surfaces of the structure and take selfies too.”
While the puzzle related to the monolith’s appearance in India is now solved, it still stands unsolved in many parts of the world. These travelling monoliths have been making inexplicable appearances at several spots, all unrelated to each other. Some of these monoliths have appeared in Utah, San Francisco, the Netherlands, Romania, Colombia, and England’s Isle of Wight. Few people are, in fact, drawing parallels with the iconic movie 2001: A Space Odyssey–where similar monoliths appeared and disappeared in the film.
