Goa government is promoting #WorkationGoa and we can’t keep calm
The post-pandemic world has seen workations emerge as a top travel trend. If you too have been contemplating a workation with your friends or colleagues, Goa may have something in store for you.
According to PTI, the state government is all set to welcome working professionals and digital nomads to its pristine sandy beaches. The state’s Tourism ministry is working on setting up co-working spaces on the beaches of Goa. While speaking in the Legislative Assembly recently, Tourism and Information and Technology (IT) Minister Rohan Khaunte said that the state wants to promote the culture of #WorkationGoa.

Co-working spaces will be created at South Goa’s Benaulim and North Goa’s Morjim and Miramar beaches in the first phase of the project. This means you can work, go surfing, take a shower, and get back to work at these co-working spaces. The state is hopeful that young IT professionals will add to its IT ecosystem by choosing to work from its beaches.
The state government will join hands with the Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK) to set up these beachside co-working spaces. The government wants to develop these workspaces on the lines of the Hyderabad-based innovation intermediary and business incubator T-Hub.
As part of this program, beach shacks will be set up at Colva, Benaulim, and Baina beaches in South Goa and Calangute-Baga belt in North Goa. The shacks will come equipped with a “plug and play” facility.
