A teenager from Pune, Maharashtra, has surprised everyone on the internet by clicking the clearest picture of the moon. Prathamesh Jaju composed the three-dimensional image of the moon by putting together more than 50,000 images that he clicked over four hours, with another 38-40 hours of post-processing time.

As reported by Hindustan Times, Jaju, while speaking to ANI said, “I captured the image on May 3 at 1 am. I captured for around four hours with videos and images. It took 38-40 hours for processing. The reason behind 50,000 pictures was to get the clearest picture of the moon. When I stitched them together, the final file was around 600 MB.”

He calls himself a budding astrophotographer. He aspires to become an astrophysicist and study astronomy professionally. The young guy is also very active on social media and has nearly 45K followers on Instagram.
“Last Quarter Mineral HDR Moon Composite. This image is an HDR Composite of two different images made to give it a 3-dimensional effect. This is my most detailed and clearest shot of the third quarter Mineral Moon,” he captioned the image on Instagram.
