With the spike of the second wave, most Bollywood actors haven’t been able to escape the virus’ clutches. The 55-year-old actor-model and author Milind Soman, who had tested positive for COVID-19 around March 23, has recently recovered. He shared a photo on his Instagram profile Wednesday evening, revealing that he is back to social distancing in the wild. A fitness enthusiast and marathon runner, Soman’s caption read: “enough of cities for the moment! I’ve had my tryst with COVID, don’t want a repeat.” Presently in Alibaug, he claims to be living in the forest, enjoying the birdsong, and trying to grow whatever food is possible. “It may not be glamorous but never felt so much at home… Nature is amazing, you’ve got to respect that.” he adds.

Known to live a healthy lifestyle, the actor tested negative earlier this month. He recalls his battle with Coronavirus which left him drained. Despite having only contracted mild symptoms, he reportedly experienced pain and fatigue, and a loss of the sense of smell due to the infection.

In a post sharing the happiness of testing negative and getting back to running, he said, “…I know for sure that COVID is a thing now, I have not had any flu-like symptoms for more than 25 years now, so to have even the mild fever and tiredness that I had was definitely unusual! I am sure we are all being as careful as we can..” However, no isolation could’ve stopped him from working out and stretching around while he could!

Soman has always preached about the advantages of consuming locally harvested food and encouraged healthy living. He recounts how herbal concoctions and kadhas helped relieve his symptoms.Talking not just about physical health, he also stresses on the importance of mental strength to endure through these difficult times. “In any illness, I believe the most important aspect of healing is positivity. In fact, the most important aspect of leading a healthy life is positivity. And how to focus on the positive, how to bring positive energy into your life, is the journey, and the constant effort”. He said in one of his posts. Soman also urges people to get vaccinated to help stop this surge.
