All Cancelled Tickets Are Now Valid Till Dec 2021-- Air India’s Latest Policy

Here’s some good news for passengers who are worried about their cancelled flight tickets. All cancelled domestic and international tickets will be valid till December 31, 2021, says Air India. By Amitha Ameen

India’s national carrier, Air India announced a new waiver in its policy. A lot of passengers have been going back and forth trying to understand what the new COVID-19 guidelines mean for their (cancelled) tickets.

Air India is putting everybody at ease by saying that, irrespective of their ticket type, the whole value of their ticket will be protected. According to the statement, passengers having Air India Documents (098) with cancelled tickets or having not been allowed to fly, owing to constantly changing COVID-19 rules, can now heave a sigh of relief.

This applies to and can be availed by anyone whose tickets fall between 15 March 2020 until 24 August 2020. Flight changes with no charges can be possible but the bookings must be done before December 31, 2021, and the journey must be completed by December 31, 2021, for this.

Further, the airline is offering one free flight change, for any passenger wanting to change flight or date, till August 24. Now, you can put your ticket worries to rest and even go ahead and book your future tickets in peace.
