China’s aviation authority, on Tuesday, declared that all passengers travelling on China-bound flights will have to furnish a COVID-19 negative test certificate before boarding the flight. By Kumar Shree
After taking care of the huge number of Coronavirus positive cases within the country, the Chinese government is now trying their best to prevent the import of new cases. And hence, China has declared it mandatory for all passengers travelling on China-bound flights to provide a COVID-19 negative test certificate before even taking the flight.

The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) has also put out a list of conditions for these tests.
- The nucleic acid test must be completed with five days of travelling date.
- The test must be conducted at facilities that are either designated or assigned by the Chinese embassies in that country.
This announcement from China comes at a time when countries around the globe are struggling with testing capacity and speedy result delivery. While some countries are struggling to produce timely results after testing the samples, many others are still keeping these tests strictly reserved for those who have either been exposed to COVID-19 positive patients or are showing severe symptoms of the virus.

CAAC has allowed more foreign airlines to resume services to and from the country in the last few weeks. It has also allowed already operating flights to increase their frequencies.
While Lufthansa has confirmed that it would double the number of flights in the coming weeks, Air France and KLM have also received a nod to add more flights.
