Murud beach in Dapoli, Maharashtra, is the perfect weekend getaway for some up-close-and-personal time with the dolphins. Yes, you read it right! Unlike other beaches, here you can actually spot dolphins. All you need to do is hop on a small boat, and get ready for a beautiful sight of a bunch of dolphins frolicking about in the clear waters. The locals at the Murud beach arrange for a boat for you early in the morning; you just need to carry your binoculars and camera to enjoy this rare, picturesque view. As you go boating in the Arabian sea, you’ll be warned when to remain silent in order to spot the dolphins. You might even find them swimming in pairs, grazing the surface of the water with their fins and silver bodies.
