Gangotri temple is the only shrine where the holy River Ganga is worshipped. The three other sacred shrines namely Yamunotri temple, Badrinath temple, and Kedarnath temple are dedicated to the worship of Goddess Yamuna, Lord Vishnu, and Lord Shiva, respectively.

On the other hand, Uttarakhand is receiving heavy rainfall for the past few days. The state government has also closed the roads in Kumaon and Garhwal regions of the state to avoid any mishap. As per the reports, the Badrinath road near Lambagad Pipalkoti Tangdi, Yamunotri road near Paligad, Pagal Nala in Chamoli, and Munsiyari road in Pithoragarh has also been closed for safety purpose.
