Lush, fertile lands have accorded one of the largest countries in the world with the title of being the Breadbasket of Europe. They also make for a breathtaking sight. So do the luxurious castles, thousand-year-old monuments, and fields of cheery sunflowers. Ukraine is home to seven world heritage sites, including St Sophia Cathedral and Kyiv Pechersk Lavra. The old quarter of the western city of Lviv, which borders Poland, is, in itself, a world heritage site as well. Every corner of Ukraine is postcard-perfect, and its beauty is undeniable.
